Refunds & Cancellations

Cancellations and refunds, plainly.

How cancellations and refunds work for uTapiT software subscriptions, physical hardware and kits.

Software subscriptions

You can cancel a plan at any time from your dashboard or by contacting us. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it does not renew after that. We do not charge a cancellation fee.

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable for the current period once it has started. We will, however, refund a payment in full when it was charged in error or duplicated, or when you cancel within 7 days of a charge and have not meaningfully used the service in that period. Approved subscription refunds are issued to your original payment method.

Hardware and kits

uTapiT cards, stands, plates and kits are made to order — each item is encoded and quality-checked for your specific business before it ships. Because of this, hardware cannot be cancelled or refunded once it has been shipped, except where it arrives damaged, defective or incorrect.

  • Before dispatch: you can cancel a hardware or kit order for a full refund, as long as it has not yet been programmed and shipped.
  • Damaged, defective or wrong item: tell us within 7 days of delivery, with a photo, and we will replace it or refund that item.
  • Kits: a kit combines a first software period with hardware. If the hardware has already shipped, only the unused software portion of a kit can be refunded; the hardware portion follows the hardware rules above.

The free digital QR

Every location includes a free digital QR that is delivered instantly in your dashboard. It carries no charge, so nothing needs to be refunded for it.

How to request a cancellation or refund

Reach out through our contact page with your business name and order or payment reference. We review every request and respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
